Three In One

Today, the redistricting committee released second versions of the NC House and NC Senate districts and at the same time released a third version of the congressional districts (right on the heels of version #2 being released yesterday).  The congressional districts have only slight changes, but the House districts are adjusted a bit more significant.  That doesn'tmean that the lines are drastically different.  For example, here in eastern Wake County, the changes between the proposed districts 35 and 39 are subtle, but important.

Generally, it has been desired to keep precincts whole when possible.  However, our local precinct 17-04 has been split by only a small corner and a bite-sized chunk. Given the locations of the small sections now brought over into the new district 35, it makes you wonder if it's not what you know, but who you know!  Stay tuned!
